The crowding out effect were born in June 2008 when Vincenzo Coppeta, who has already played with the sborz, and Yari Palladino met. In October Luigi and Gaetano Pezzella became members of the band. Their first self-produced demo, recorded on 28 December 2008 in Crazy Twine Studio - Brusciano (Naples) ( Mix and Master by Ennio Mirra ), is out on 3 January 2009, date of their debut at shakti club (Pomigliano D'Arco - Naples)

Il progetto crowding out effect nasce nel giugno 2008 dall'incontro tra Vincenzo Coppeta, già chitarra e voce degli sborz, e Yari Palladino. Nell'Ottobre 2008 si aggiungono alla formazione Gaetano e Luigi Pezzella. Il 28 Dicembre del 2008 registrano in presa diretta il loro primo demo presso Crazy Twine Studio - Brusciano (NA) ( Mix and Master by Ennio Mirra ). Il 3 gennaio 2009 esordiscono live allo shakti club di Pomigliano D'Arco(NA).
